Shoshana A Brown, LMSW is a third generation New Yorker and child of NYC public school education. They are passionate about social justice and healing. Shoshana has worked in and around the DOE for over 10 years. As a delegate for the functional chapter of Psychologists and Social Workers, they have worked hard to be in an accountable relationship with their colleagues in order to be the best possible advocate. Beyond that, she has contributed to the increased activity in their school chapter by building community and getting folks interested in the work of the union.

Marilena Marchetti, OTR/L has worked in public schools as an occupational therapist since 2011. She currently serves as an elected delegate to her functional chapter. As a member of OTs & PTs For A Fair Contract, she has helped to organize petition drives and pressure campaigns to win meaningful improvements to workplace issues. She believes that we need a union dedicated to organizing UFT members, parents, and the community in solidarity to demand better schools and better working conditions. Fulfilling the promise of quality public education will take nothing less than building grassroots power and democracy in our union.
